Our great great grandfather was:

John Robinson AGNEW b. Virginia - Lived in Missouri in the 1850s - d. Chicago
Married twice. Eight children. Only known children:
Lizzie AGNEW ADAMS m. Frank ADAMS
William Stephen AGNEW b. 15August 1852 in Missouri d. 1917

We are going to Texas next week to learn more about W. S. AGNEW.
We have the following information:

William Stephen AGNEW, our great grandfather, was born 15August 1852 in Missouri.
He went to Texas prior to 1880 to teach school in Plano, Garland and Allen.
We found some references to him in the "Collin County Chronicles" -- he was the
principal of the Allen High School in 1884.

Our great grandmother, Sallie WILMOT married William in 1887 in Dallas, after
the death of his first wife Bettie, who was her sister.

2. William Stephen AGNEW and Sallie WILMOT 1887 in Dallas

Their children:
1. Homer A. AGNEW b. sometime between 1880-1887 in Allen d. infancy
2. Roy W. AGNEW b. sometime between 1880-1887 in Allen d. 2 1/2 years old
3. Ola Betty AGNEW b. 31December 1886 in Allen, m. Wendell Morse
4. Bivian AGNEW b. 04July 1889 in Allen, m. Charles Claudy

Death Certificates/Records:
1. William Stephen AGNEW d. 1917
2. Bettie WILMOT AGNEW d. January 1887 in Dallas.
3. Homer A. AGNEW died sometime between 1880-1887 in Allen
4. Roy W. AGNEW died sometime between 1880-1887 in Allen
5. Sallie WILMOT AGNEW was buried in Allen in 1910
6. Ola Betty (aka Viola Blanche) AGNEW MORSE d. 1930
7. Bivian AGNEW, d. 1956

WILMOT/WILMUT Family Records:

Benjamin WILMOT/WILMUT b. 1818 in Kentucky, d. 07November 1907 in Dallas.
Mary Ann BENTLEY WILMOT/WILMUT b. 1829 in Kentucky, d. 09JUNE 1894 in Dallas.

Benjamin and Mary Ann married 16February 1843 near Danville, Kentucky. They arrived
in Texas 1854 and apparently lived in "Palace Hill" near Duncanville until their deaths.
Their children were:
1. Ephram b. 1844, Kentucky, m. Mollie Brotherton 1876
2. Mattie b. 1846, Kentucky, m. George CARTER
3. James b. 1849, Kentucky, m. America Louisiana
4. Sallie b. 1852, Kentucky, m. William Stephen AGNEW 1887
5. George b. 1854, died young
6. Charles b. 1854, m. Caroline
7. Bettieb. 1858, Texas, m. William Stephen AGNEW 1880
8. Benjamin (Button) b. 1861, Texas, m. unknown
