My stepfather was adopted too. Now when I started dooing genealogy on family his birt cert said the adoptive parents where his parents. Then I found out that, thats how its done. Afer much digging I wrote to Superior court ( mine was or Arizona ) asked for court records of adoption. It gives entire history of adoption & birth parents. Its called petition of adoption. Now Juneau being the capitol old write a letter to Superior court Juneau. Sorry I do not have address. Anyhow tell them you are adopted, their names, where you were adopted from let them see if they can find anything.
