I have been told that William Gaines, the father of Marshall T. Gaines
& W. A. Gaines, is buried in this cemetery. I have written to the
caretaker and she has nothing to confirm this. However, I was told that
due to the many years, the markers are now gone. I was told there is
still an old Gaines Farm(?)
in the area. I know there are still members of the family
around and was wondering if they had any old family notes
regarding this. William's wife was Sarah Bigby Gaines. Also,
could anyone tell me when decoration day is held at this cemetery.
