I, too, have asked for lookups more than once with no reponses. I've
wondered as has Kate. So I'd like to "second" her message. Thanks from me
as well, Sammye

My past request(s):
Can anyone locate the J.Tilman Burks' household in the 1870 AL census? This
brick wall just WON'T come down! He is in Pike Co. in 1860--Tallapoosa
Co.in 1880.
There are several variant spellings of both "Tilman" and "Burks" in marriage
and census records and even on his gravestone in Darian Cemetery near
Daviston --thus making research difficult. His gravestone reads: Tillman
Burkes June 20, 1815--June 16, 1894
Some of his children still in his household in 1870 would have been:
James A. Burks born 1851 in GA
Susan A. Burks born 1853 in GA
Jesse G. Burks born 1856 in GA
Margaret E. Burks born 1858 in Pike Co. AL

We're searching for a spouse's name in the 1870 decade. We'd appreciate the
help!!
Thanks! Sammye Mantooth, Tillman's gggranddaughter

> For the past 2 weeks I have been sending requests for look-ups in AL
census on Prather family--my e-mail's don't come back but I have had no
response from the group that does the lookkup--I don't mean to sound
ungrateful or impatient--I am just trying to be sure that my e-mails are
getting through---If I know I have the right address I will re-send the
exact data that I am looking for. Thank you so much for this service for me
and for others. Kate
