Stuart's Cavalry Battalion had not organized when the Battle of Chickamauga GA took place. There is probably less information available about Stuart's Cavalry than any other Alabama command. However, northeast Alabama was outside the area usually recruited by units belonging to Roddey's Cavalry, and that included Stuart's Battalion.

I really believe your James McCullough was the James McCullough I mentioned yesterday. You didn't mention Chickamauga yesterday, so I don't understand the connection.
