Thanks T. Stephens for your research and dedication for planning on publishing the history of the 13th Alabama Infantry Regiment. My great great grandfather (William Joseph Blankenship from Coosa, County) served in Company H of the 13th Alabama Infantry Regiment and obtained the rank of 2nd Corporal. He was wounded the first day of of the Battle of Gettysburg. Good luck with your book and hope to read it soon!
