Subject: [AL-ORPHANS] Thompson Adoption Lauderdale/Colbert County about 1924

My father was supposedly adopted by Owen Miller Thompson (born 1893 in Lauderdale County) on or about 1924. They lived in Colbert County according to 1920 census at that time. His adoptive mother's name was Maude Elizabeth Hall Thompson. Owen Miller Thompson was the son of Robert Henry Thompson and Erin Owen Thompson.

My father was born on/about August 19, 1922. Are there any records to support this adoption? Does anyone have information?

The Thompsons moved to Jefferson County by the 1930 Ala. Census.
