May 29, 1901
Died on May 16, 1901 John Rodgers, age about 88 years, near the Friendship
church. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.S.E. Robinson, his
pastor. He was a good, honest, hardworking citizen and liked by all who knew
him. He had been a citizen of St. Clair County for 39 years. The deceased
left a wife and nine children to mourn their great loss.
