Wanted to run this by everyone again. From the 1860 census of Henry Co, AL -

Pg 28, household 179

Pridgeon Butler 28 NC
Miriam H 29 SC
Lucy J 4 GA
Noah A 2 AL
Rozetta 6mo AL

I had the surname last post as "Butter." Hadn't figured out then that the
census taker was a sloppy writer and a poor speller. Hopefully, the Butler
connection in Carolina will be more meaningful to someone. I am assuming
that the couple was married in Georgia, given the birthplace of the oldest
child and assuming that this was the mother of that girl.

>From the 1900 census of Henry Co -

Pg 76A, household 356

Oscar Pridgeon 24 AL
Victoria 24 FL
Florine 2 AL
Graimo (?) 1mo AL
James R Hill 67 GA

Pg 82A, household ?

Earnest (?) Hill 28 AL
Graimo (?) 22 AL
K T Pridgeon 51 AL
Melinda 58 AL
Coy 19 AL

I'm thinking that the K T and Melinda in the second household are the
parents of Oscar and his sister, "Graimo." I can't make anything else from
that name.
I have put a scan of this info on line in hopes someone else can interpret
the name for me - or better yet, tell me who these Pridgeons are- related
perhaps to those of Dale Co, AL?
You can see the scan at
