I have found a census that I didn't know they made, so somebody help me with this, on the 1920 US census, I ran a name and got a page that listed the sailors aboard a ship. On the census page at the top, it says "Military and Naval Population, Etc. Abroad"

This particular ship was the USS Oriole (269), out of San Diego, Calif. It lists the names, their rank, where in the US they are from, age, 'Nativity and Mother Tongue', (where there parents were from) and their occupation aboard ship. I am assuming this is from WW1. I only copied one page but was wondering if there are census for all Military personnel abroad, for the other wars, etc.

Has anyone encountered this before?
