Hi,
I have a lot of Bush family members in my book Early Settlers of Barbour
County Alabama by Marie Godfrey.


William R. Bush patented land west of Bakersville from 1829 to 1836.In the
1840 census he was a single man 30/40 years old.On Dec 20. 1840 he m. Eliza
Jones.In 1841 William K. Jones gave him 11 acres of land ,But his
relationship to Eliza K. Jones was not given in the deed.
Sarah Bush patented land adjoining William R. Bush in 1836.
In Jan. 1836 she and William R. Bush were the administrators of William R.
Bush Sr..
In 1845 William R. Bush was the administrator for Bryant Bush.
Moses R. Bush entered land N. of Bakersville from 1829 to 1836.Scott's
history of Henry Co.. Al. states that Moses Eason Bush b. 27 Apr. 1797 Ga. d.
25 Apr. 1847 m. (1) Juliia Ann Calhoun 9 Apr. 1815 at Monticello, Jones Co.
,Ga.She was b. 12 Oct 1794 Laurens Co. Ga. d. 18 Apr. 1833 in Barbour Co. Al.
They are buried in Rocky Mount Church Cemetery.
He was the son of John Council Bush b. 1 Apr. 1781 Johnston Co. N.C. d. after
Aug. 1814, and Edie (Tison?) of Trent River N.C.,and Laurens Co. Ga.They are
buried in Lauren Co. Ga.
William R. Bush and Zachriah Bush probably brothers of Moses E. Bush ,also
settled in Barbour Co.
Moses E. Bush m. (2) Nancy Jane Johnson by 1838.She was b. 1815 N.C.d. after
1880. She also is buried in Rocky Mount.She was the daughter of Moses and
Mary Johnson.

2.Council Vernon b. May 1870 Houston Co. Ga.d. Dec 1893 m. Rebecca Bishop 20

are b. in Clayton Cemetery.
