Kevin,
My ex-husband's Tharpe's are all in N.C.,none that I found as of yet
migrated to Ala.
I have searched everything I have and and they are not listed in my records.
Tharp's that are in Fairview listed in the old records are:
V.D.Tharp
Died May 9th,1904
Age 82
One more Tharp on page 330 in the index, but the page 330 doesnt show any,
at least on my copy.
The only other things that I know are:
Charles C. Tharp died Dec.15th,1950 in Barbour Co. But I do not have him in
any of the cemeteries I have done so far.

> Today I was in Eufaula looking around Fairview Cem. I was looking for the
first wife of Will. H. McGilvray, my great grandfather. Her name was Ollie
B. Tharp. She lived from Jan 1, 1898 to Nov 12, 1918. Her parents were
C.C. and V.L. Tharp this is what is written on her grave.

> The inscription reads: "My own dear wife has gown" this is a sad thing
to read and to know that your great grandfather had this placed on her grave
but then again if she had not died when she did I would not be here right
now. So it was weird to be standing there looking at the grave of someone
that in some respects died so that I would be born. I don't mean she died
for me I do not know what killed her at such a young age but it was a
strange feeling standing there. She died November 1918 and my great
grandfather remarried this time to my great grandmother not even 2 years
later on June 20 1920.
