The Thornton Cemetery is located north-
west of Eufaula and south of Highway
82 near Clayton's Pond; the following
are there:

Jonathan M. Thornton, d. 1890 and
wives Martha M., d. 1856 and Rebecca
W., d. 1890

These are at Fairview, Eufaula:

John Thornton, 1815-1890; m. (3)
Frances Sylvester.

William H. Thornton, 1817-1881; m.
Mary B. Shorter, 1828-1914.

Both Confederate soldiers.
