Sara,
I only have the children of Humphrey and Julia. He might be the child of one of them. The dates would be about right, but I have no information on their children. I am going to Troy library on Wednesday and meet a guy who does a lot of Scroggins research. I will give him the names and see if he knows anything.

Thanks, Debbie - Yes, I've talked lots with Maggie. She doesn't have any
more on Talitha than I have. I found Griffin Scroggins in census records
which is where I found the siblings' names. Is Griffin listed as a child of
Humphrey J. Scroggins and Julia Chaney? If he is listed I would appreciate
the info. If not, it's unlikely that Humphrey would be Talitha's
grandfather.

To Catherine - as you can see from my message to Debbie I know absolutely
nothing about Griffin except for census data.

I receive the Barbour Co. list in digest form so I'll wait to hear from you.
