What is your connection to the Baker/Christmas line? I am descended through
Jesse Hinton Baker who married Martha Christmas. Jesse Hinton Baker is son
of Jesse Hinton Baker and Nancy Ellen Wilder. This Jesse Hinton is son of
Jesse Baker and Rebecca (some researchers say she was Rebecca Smith; but I
have not been able to document that; I am more inclined to think that she may
have been Rebecca Irby). Line Goes:

If you are descended from the Sumter Co., SC Baker/Christmas line, you would
have to come from my line. Several of Jesse Baker's and Rebecca's children
married Christmas, while several others married Prescotts. Copeland also
figures heavily into this line although I have no direct Copeland lineage.
