When will we be relieved of this scourge that keeps rearing its ugly head?
No, I am not talking about the members of parliament who were elected by
the Canadian people. I'm talking about this bunch of mad campaigners
that call themselves the "Canada Census Committee".
WHO elected them??? [And what makes them political pundits?]
Frankly, as i have mentioned before, i don't think that all this campaigning
about the release of the Census records has a place on these forums.
Get yer own mailing list Gordo, and pollute the etherwaves from there!!!
Now this latest piece by the self-appointed Don Quixote of the Canada Census
Committee really takes the cake.
I don't care to read a brownnose message abt Alan Rock any more then I
appreciate a low blow comment about Brian Tobin ON THIS FORUM!!!
I am sick of opening my Alberta Digest and finding that half the messages
are from this "Canada Nonsense Committee". Sometimes even in duplicate. Why
are we still getting all this political commentary on a GENEALOGY RESEARCH
FORUM???
NO there is NO need for more selfrighteous and pompous posturing by Watts
and Co. It was a retorical question!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! P l e a s e g o a w a y !!!
Run for office or something, but leave US alone!!!
Jay W. Meeuwig
And yes, I actually like Brian Tobin. Anyone remember Capt. Canada?

Subject: [ALBERTA] Post 1901 Census -- Changes in Cabinet
Greetings All.
Last night, and this morning, have shown some interesting changes made
to our Federal Liberal Cabinet. I thank all who have sent me messages
advising of some of these changes, particularly those which might have
had an effect on our efforts to regain public access to Historic Census
Records.
The resignation of Brian Tobin, not just from the Federal Liberal
Cabinet but presumably from politics altogether, does not really
surprise me as I wondered how long it would be before he quit something
again. He served many years as a Liberal MP and member of Cabinet
before quitting Federal politics to run for and successfully be elected
as Premier of Newfoundland. He quit that to return to Ottawa and was
appointed as Minister of Industry without having been elected by the
people of Canada.
.... and ON and ON and ON............
