Subject: [ALBLOUNT-L] Was there an epidemic in Autauga CO in 1858?

I was researching a related family and found that in the family of
Samuel STOUDENMIRE and Caroline WHETSTONE GOLSON that all 4 of their
children at the time died in a 2 week period in February 1858. These
children ranged in ages from 7 yrs. down to 10 months. Can anyone fill
me in on what was happening at the time?
