My brick wall is finding a surname for R. Arminda ??? b. c1831 in AL. She married James T. Berry c1848-9. He was the son of James Malcolm Berry and Ruth French. As most of you know the marriages for that time period are missing. Does anyone have suggestions for ways to find marriage information in Blount County other than the records themselves? Online church records?

James T. Berry was born in Blount County, AL c1824 and he and his wife R. Arminda are listed in the 1850 census with daughter Martha age 1 and brother John Berry. This family and John Berry migrated to TX in 1851 and are listed in the Grayson County, TX census in 1860 with children, Martha L., John S., Delilah Catherine, Julia A. and Ella Preston in 1860. R. Arminda and Ella must have died soon after because James T. Berry remarried Louiza E. Wilson in January 1862. Both R. Arminda and Louiza E. Wilson were born in Alabama.
