School Girl Dies
Auto Accident
Miss Erma Sue Smith, 15, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Smith, of Brushey
Creek was killed in an automobile accident Sunday night. The accident occured
about 1 miles north of the Greenmoore school.
Erma Sue was to have been a memmber of the Sr. I class at Georgiana High
School this year.
Surviving, besides her parents, are a grandfather, Tom Smith, Georgiana;
grandmother, Mrs. Eva Campbell, McKenzie; four brothers, Carl and James Smith,
St. Louise, Mo.; Charles Smith, Covington, Ky.; and Marvin Smith, Greenville;
nine sisters, Mrs. Charlie Stinson, Odessa, Tex.; Mrs. Inez Carr, Covington,
Ky.; Mrs. Pearl Porter, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Winfred Kelsoe, Louise Smith,
Ola Faye Smith, Teresa Ann Smith, Myra Nell Smith and Sharon Diane Smith, all
of Greenville, RFD.
Funeral services were conducted at three o'clock yesterday afternoon at the
Brushey Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Shell officiating. Burial in
the church cemetery, with Dunklin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
