Suzanne, the bits and pieces of my wife's Garner side has been too small to
be able to conjure up a
written report. Her other side, Pages, is also the same way. I think we
have a problem with Levi
Garner and James being father & son, because there is also Jim (James)E. who
is a brother to Levi.
My wife is a granddaughter of this James (Jim) E. Garner. I would like to
add the parents of Levi and Jim to her pedigree, if you have that info. I
see the split in the Garner line
as being at the point of Levi, Jim, and any other children. Apparently,
your line is with Levi's
side. My wife's line is with Brother Jim. I have the records of "The
Houston Alliance# 852) a rural
"Lodge" of sorts. in attendance Sept 1, 1888, Garland, Al. included L.
Garner, G.W., J.E.,
Mrs. C. Garner, Mrs M. M. Garner and Mrs. Celena Garner. (your
spelling,Selena) James E. m.
Mary E. Ediker, Sepulga, Al. Jan. 12, 1888. There was a Thomas J. Garner

of Apr 21 before me, you spelled Levi's wife Salina. I would believe the
"Lodge" name correct.
Would you? You might want to submit your side of the Butler Garners in our
upcoming Heritage
Book, in case you are interested, send me your mail address so we can send
