Subject: James WATSON of Butler Co. AL
Date: Mon, 23 Aug 1999 11:11:41 EDT
Hi,
I am fairly new to the list and have not had a chance to post till now. I am
trying to find more information on James WATSON. I found him on 1860, 1870
and 1880 census of Greenville, Butler Co. but have not been able to find him
any earlier than that. On the census he was listed sometimes as J.S. WATSON
and sometimes as James. He was born in GA (do not know where) in1824 + or -
a year. He died in November 1895 in Anniston, Calhoun Co. AL. His wife was
only listed as H.M. and the names of his children were: Julia A., William S.,
Sarah E., James E.,
Drury Adam (Toby was nickname), Gertrude, Mary L., Roberta F., and Hattie or
Hannah.
Julia married a William GRAHAM, William married a Laura CRAWFORD and had a
son James Crawford WATSON, Sarah E. married a George BURKE, Mary L. married
Willie BOYNTON, and James Edgar married in 1881 in Dallas Co. AR to Mary
THOMAS (their children were: J. Henry, Paul, Wallace, Irma, Alvis, Travis and
Elmer)
I know this is long but I am trying to include as much information as I can
in hopes that something will match something that someone else has. Thank
you for reading my query. Here is hoping for a connection.
