Hugh Black's wife was probably Frances Anne Gafford daughter of Stephen C.
Gafford and Tillitha Moseley, all though I have her birth as 1838. Note
that Hugh was about six years older than Frances.

I have a note that says that Richard H. Gafford (b. 1842) married 26 Mar
1863 to Mary F. C. Ramage in the home of Hugh Black with S. J. Bolling, JPro
presiding and sponsor Joseph C. Ramage (Butler Co Marriages pg 462 1858-64)
I have not placed Richard, yet, but he may be Frances' brother.

Just some more pieces to the puzzle!

Mary Henley
