Mildred and readers, The B.C. Heritage Book Counselor has
recommended the absolute cutoff date of JUNE 30, 2000.
The Committee is in complete agreement. We think we will
receive almost enough articles and book sales this month, so
3 whole months more should do the trick. We are requesting
50th year anniversary pictures with names, and Butler County
Veteran pictures with short story- from any war. The Counselor
did emphasize we must stick to the rules. There is a slight error
I wrote in our "set of rules" at your website; The word in the first
sentence: "Approximate" number of words, should be deleted
We must stick to the word count. If an article calls for 250 words
all over that amount, will be liable for .15 a word. I don't see a
problem with the .15 per word deal at this time. Also required
is double spacing the print. I am not absolutely sure HOW the
procedure is to correct errors, but I am sure it will be after
the cutoff date. If all goes extremely well, we could see our book
by Christmas time. Good Wishes, Bernard Lewis, Chmn.
