Butler County Families (1830-1840)
JOHN WITHERINGTON & MARY ELLIS (wife)
JOHN T. KING & MARTHA CAROLINE WITHERINGTON

Also, William Witherington (Jr.), Daniel Witherington, John King, William R.
King families in nearby Conecuh County.

The above two families (John Witherington and his son-in-law, John King)
obtained land during the late 1830's in Butler County. Believe that the
Butler County land was located over near the Sepulga River adjacent to
Conecuh County, as both the Witherington & King families were well
established in Conecuh (settling near China & Burnt Corn) beginning about
1820.

Can anyone on the Butler County list (or the Conecuh list) possibly provide
me with ANY information or marriage records of John T. King-Martha Caroline
Witherington, likely married about 1840? If possible, the family listing on
the 1840 Census of these families which would provide approx ages of parents
& children and the township would be most helpful.

THANKS!!!

William R. King, Jr.
