In answer to where the 17th Co. B muster rolls may be found, I found a
good deal of info on the 17th in the records on the 5th floor of Wallace
State, in Hanceville, Al. I found the 17th th Muster rolls and Medical
records on Microfilm when the wounded were sent to Mobile to two of the
hospitals there. Bob Davis, the Director, is doing a great job getting
microfilm on the 17th Infantry. Some original records are found in the
Alabama Archives also.
Contact Ilene Thompson at . She and her husband are
writing a book on the 17th and she was the person who directed me to
those records.
The Alabama Archives do not have the 17th Infantry flag. I checked there
in October.
I am researching Vincent Adams/Shanks/ Ozier who were in the 17th . Who
are you seeking?
