Some of our researchers have been very busy providing new information of all
types for the Butler website. The site began 2002 with about 237 pages of
genealogy information on the net. Now is it approaching 300 pages. That's a
hefty increase in such a short time. We are also approaching 260 listed
Butler County Researchers.

In checking some of the links I have found that a few of them are no longer
working. The 1840 Butler Census Index is one of them. Tracking Your Roots
is another one. I am trying to find the location of the host site so these
may be changed to the correct internet address. (Lisa, if you get this,
please send me the new address.)

There are entirely too many new pages on our site to list here. As a result,
I suggest that you check the index page and click on the various links to see
what is new and what has been revised and updated.

The latest additions include the history of the Greenville Oaks Hotel. Does
anyone know when the hotel began. The story from the Greenville Advocates
says that it closed in the 1950s.

The Butler County website is spidered by FreeFind.com everyday. If you wish
to used the Search option, click on the link that says "Search This Site"
about half way down on the index page. Follow the instructions on the
preceeding window to see if the information you are researching is on our
site.

Remember, folks, the Butler County web site is YOUR site, not just mine. I
am but the adminstrator and web designer of the site. It will be what you
AND I contribute. I have received many comments in the pass couple of weeks
relative to the new additions and the new look of the site. Let's continue
to work together to make this the best county website on Rootsweb.com!
