I also have John Rufus LEE (b. July 8, 1858, married L. C. SMITH Sept. 19, 1882) as the son of Lewis Lee and Emily SCRUGGS Lee. His siblings were Mary Jane Lee, b. May 26,1855, and Elizabeth "Bettie" Lee, born Aug. 23,1860. The endnote in my info gives the source as the Emily H. Scruggs Lee Family Bible.

John Rufus Lee's sister, Elizabeth "Bettie" LEE (who married Newton Harvey "Pop" GORUM), is buried at Morrow Cemetery, where many of my family members are buried, including my g-gm Elizabeth LEE BLACK, the half first cousin of John Rufus Lee.

I have more info on this particular family, some from my own research and much of it from Vergie LEE Seeley (my half third cousin once removed). Her grandfather, Thomas Lovard Lee, Sr. (also buried at Morrow Cemetery), was the first cousin of John Rufus Lee. Vergie has researched this LEE family for many years.

Do you have any info on John Rufus Lee's other sister, Mary Jane?
