Seeking the answer to a puzzle in our family.

Stephen M Franklin was the son of Morris Franklin (Bet. 08 July - 07 August 1825 - abt 2 Sep 1863) & Jane Sims (1818 SC - bef 1876).

Morris Franklin was the son of Mark (Martin) Franklin & Nancy Ann Stapleton. Mark died at Starlington, Butler Co, AL 23 Sep 1873.

Morris & Jane married abt 1848 in Butler Co, AL and from the 1850 census records of Butler County, Beat Number 8, Household 800/800, they had one son Stephen.

Morris died during the Civil War. I don't know if Jane remarried.

Ancestry.com's AL Marriages 1800-1920 says that Stephen M Franklin married Mary Bilberry 27 Dec 1866 in Butler Co, AL.

After that I completely lose track of both Jane & Stephen.

Does anyone know what happened to them?
