The reasons we had to sweep the yards and note I said we. You can't
draw no hop-scotch game in the grass and we would draw play houses and the
boys had to have somewhere to play marbles.
the main reason was for grassfires and snakes and little furry varmits
that like to make their home with you. Fond memories.
