My Jay brothers and families moved there from
Abbeville. Jesse Jay (b. 1793, b. Edgefield Co. SC)and
family, by the 1830 Census and his brother Joseph Jay
(b. 1790, Edgefield Co. SC per War of 1812 Service
Record)and family by 1850 Census. They were living
almost next door to each other in 1850. Can find no
record of their deaths.
