John and William Pleasant Routon, listed in "Vic's Land Index".John was
at 2 mi. North on I-65 hwy another place up I-65 East by 2 miles.
Wm. P. had most of south Greenville. A confusing part is that Routon
newspaper clips seem to have them at the Crenshaw border. My Great
Grand is Elizabeth Routon and I have not been able to find out who her
parents are! There must have been plenty of girls in the Routon families,
because there is evidence they married all over Butler and Crenshaw. This
could have something to do with there NOT being a "Central" located
Cemetery.

My "fair to middlin" list does not have a Routon Cemetery. (that does not
mean there is no Routon Ceme.) My GrGrand is buried at Manningham in
a family (Ashcraft-Heaton) cemetery. Would these former Routon
women be buried beside their Spouses?

In my Greenville Magnolia Cemetery list is: Jeremiah P. (note: penciled in
Permelia? Rogers? Luja Alice Routon, see Newton. William P. Routon,
1863-1923. B'nard
