Cheryl, I wonder if this Senie Davis is the daughter listed in the 1860 Butler County census of John Davis. She is listed as S. Davis age 7. I know I have found Census info to be a couple of years different on individuals. This S. Davis would have been 25 in 1878. Does the marriage record show where she was married at (someone's home, etc.)?
