Looking for information on probate proceedings of Elkanah Briggs's will:
Thomas H. Briggs, brings to court a paper supposedly the will of Elkanah Briggs
deceased. Notice to be published in the South Alabamian newspaper published in
Greenville, Alabama for 3 successive weeks. Citation to sheriff to summons
Simeon Briggs of Covington Co. AL, Emeline Brewer of Sumter Co., Michael Briggs of
Pickens Co., Thomas H. Briggs of Butler Co. and Jacob Briggs of Pike Co. all
of Alabama, all of full age. Allears Elkanah left no widow surviving him or
minor children (Jan 23, 1855, Butler Co. AL pp. 342-343)
