I am a decedent of Abner & Rhoda (CLEVELAND) Abners probate is in Dallas
County, AL, father of David m:Elizabeth (SMITH) FRANKLIN, Elizabeth divorced David
in Butler County, AL June 1846, source Legislator book in Montgomery, AL
Archives. I have info on FRANKLIN line back to 1731 and would like to make
connections with some of Abner FRANKLINS other children. They were: 1) ALFRED no info
on him
2) FRANCES (Fanny) m: Rhydon Griggsby HILL; they & David left Wilcox
county, AL between 1848 & 1850, settling in Sabine Parish, LA where David and
R.G. died before December 31, 1850. Mortality Schedule
3) David m: Elizabeth SMITH
4) Mary (Polly) m: Jefferson SMITH
5) JESSE no info
6) Eliza C. m: Hugh P. DEAR

Fanny, Mary & Eliza and their families came to Sabine and Desota Parishes,
LA.
Elizabeth SMITH FRANKLIN came to Freestone County, TX before 1853, leaving
one daughter, Jane who had m: James H. PERDUE 1850 in Lounds County, AL.
David and Elizabeth FRANKLINs other children settled in Freestone & Navarro
County. They were: Rhoda Virginia m: Robert T. MARTIN
Rydon G.H. FRANKLIN m: 1853 AL, Mary Elizabeth Saphronia CAMP MORGAN, after
her #1 husband Joel MORGAN d: 1852 Black Bay or Black River, FL leaving her
with two small children.

Eliza m: 1)Thomas Henry Ferguson #2 T.B. JONES; She & Ferguson are both
buried in the MAYES Cemetery Freestone County, TX

Thomas died at Vicksburg, Napoleon Bonaparte & Rydon Griggsbyhill also served
at Vicksburg. Napoleon was my great grandfather. Nap m: 1870 Pamelia (COBURN)
ROGERS in Navarro County. The marriage of Permelia and William ROGERS was
1863 in Freestone County. William and Permelias cattle brand was registered 1867
in Corsicana, Navarro C. No one in our family had ever heard of the marriage
to Rogers untill I found the records. So far I have not been able to prove
what happened to Rogers.
I will be glad to share and exchange info, copies of documents and sources on
above info and other surnames that I am researching in AL. This would have to
be by snail mail as my typing is not that great and I don't have all my info
in the computer.
