I am researching Stephen Smith bn ca 1819 GA married Harriett Peavy 1850-51 Butler County, AL. First two children bn AL by 1857 are in Polk County TX as third child Rebecca is bn in TX 1857. Harriett age 18, bn AL is found on the 1850 census for Butler County AL with parents Charles Peavy, age 62 bn GA, and Rebecca Matthews Peavy age 60 bn GA. Also in the household is a son named Thomas who is 24 yrs. bn AL
