Many thanks to all who responded to my request for help on the Anniston
newspapers and the library. We visited the library a few days ago and can't say
enough about how helpful the staff was. While we did not find any evidence that
our Leslies were involved with the Anniston Daily Hot Blast or the Star, we
did learn they had a printing business on Noble Street and also did book and
job printing in 1889-90. We also found a marriage record for Edward LESLIE and
Lela CASSADY, 9 March 1893, witnessed by Donald McQUEEN, MG. If anyone has
any information on CASSADY's in the area, would love to hear from you.
