Looking for any information on the following Youngbloods'
Thomas R Youngblood born 1796 Edgefield South Carolina. Served in War of 1812. Joined effort at Edgefield Courthouse on 2-4-1815, served 16 months until end of war. Discharged at Edgefield Courthouse as private serving under Cap't Olds Co., Col. Austins SC Regiment.
Married Synthia Grey in South Carolina. Had the following Children:
1 Lewis Arthur Youngblood Born 1827, Edgefield, S.C.died 91-1869 in Benton Co (now CALHOUN CO) Alabama, Married Mary Nunnelley born Greenville, SC. Lewis served in 10th Alabama Reg., Co D
2 Nancy Ann Youngblood born 5-10-1825, SC, Died 12-26-1919 Ashville, St Clair Co, Al. Married Anderson Green Nunnelley, born 7-23-1829 Greenville District, SC
Thomas R & family moved to Calhoun Co abt 1830
These notes were taken from copies of Nunnelley Family Bible, Court Records of Thomas R's greatgrandaughter that we found. Also in her writings she speaks of Simeon Youngblood (MY LINE) who moved to Calhoun Co abt 1837. As far as we know these were the only 2 Youngblood Families living in this county thru 1860. It does seem other Youngbloods were coming thru.
In her paper work is also the will of James Youngblood of Edgefield, sons Eli,Jeremiah, & Thomas, but does not say what the connection might be.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
Dorothy, I e-mailed you about this a few years ago, what are your thoughts on this.
