Statue in Major Schuessler Family Plot,
in LaFayette City Cemetery, Chambers County, Alabama.
Major Schuessler was a businessman/banker in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama.
His carved initials, "M" and "S," overlay each other on the pedestal beneath
the statue.
"Major" is his first name, not a military rank.
LaFayette City Cemetery was formerly known as "Westview Cemetery."
