Yes, there are some newspapers that are dated that far back, and they have
been microfilmed. I was told they could be borrowed from the Archives, by way
of inter-library loan.
Whether there is an obituary or not depends on who was writing the paper at
the time of the death. I have found several listed, but just as many of my
ancestors were not listed in the paper.
