Joseph Swift Tinney ,was born 11 Dec.1829 married 1st 13 Feb 1849 Margaret Elizabeth Johnson, They had two daughters # 1 ,Loutenzia Ann (Lucinda) Tinney married Rev.George Columbus Elliott, #2 Louise Tinney married William McDaniel, (All buried at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery marion county Al (Pulltite) near Brilliant,
Joseph Swift Tinney married second Liddyan-Malidie-Stough,
daughter of William Stough she was born 11 april 1841,they were married Columbus Ga 30 March 1857 . Her name is spelled several different ways on her application for pension
they had several children among them was listed Clem Tinney.
