My GGGfather, Allen Washington King settled in the Indian Territories (later Clay Co. Alabama) in or before 1819. His son was Samuel Allen King, who fought in the civil war and was wounded and captured at the battle of Champions Hill outside of Vicksburg.

I am looking for any information on Allen W .. He lived about 5 miles outside of Ashland Al. (on Hwy 9, if I remember correctly).
