Dear Family Members:

This year the 7th. Annual Bailey and Related Families Reunion will be on
Saturday, September 15, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. (CST, Alabama Time). The reunion
will be held at the Kiwanis Park in Wedowee, AL. I have reserved the park
so the children will also have a good time and be able to play. We will
also have use of the baseball field. In the event that it rains, we will
move the reunion to the Wedowee Church of Christ on Hwy. 48 (West) going
toward Lineville. The church is on your right. I am asking everyone to bring
a covered dish to help with the food.

We had a good size crowd last year and we are hoping for a bigger crowd
this year. Please tell other family members that you may know about the
reunion, since I don’t have everyone’s address.

This year I am also asking if there are any family members that would like
to donate something as door prize to please let me know. The item can be
store bought or even better a handmade craft. You can contact me at the
above address, phone number or e-mail address.

Please bring old and current photographs, family bible records, news
articles, old stories, or anything else you think would be interesting to
share with other members of the family. Also please bring along any updates
on your family such as: births, marriages, deaths, new addresses and phone
numbers, so I can keep the Family Tree and records current.

Anyone wishing to submit recipes for the Family Cookbook please bring the
recipes to the reunion or mail them to me. I had a computer crash and the
disk that I saved them to got corrupted. So please everyone re-submit your
recipes for the book.

I am still working on the Bailey and related families but I still have a
good bit of missing information. I would like all the information to be as
accurate as I can possibly get it. I would like to write a book that is not
just a list of names and dates. On the contrary, I would like the book to
be a history and record book for our families and future generations to
come. I would like photos and stories of as may ancestors and relatives as
I can obtain. This would make the book more interesting for everyone.

I hope you can make this year's reunion. This is a way to meet new family
members and reacquaint yourself with family members you have lost track of.

Directions to Kiwanis Park: From Atlanta = take I-20 west to exit 1 (hwy.
100) turn left on Hwy. 100, follow Hwy. 100 to Alabama State line, at the
state line it changes to Hwy. 48, follow Hwy. 48 to Wedowee, turn left onto
Hwy. 431 (South), go through town and Kiwanis Park is just outside of town
on your right.


It raining Directions to Wedowee Church of Church: From Atlanta = Follow the
same direction as above except after you turn left on to Hwy. 431 at the
right in front of the Randolph County Courthouse you are going to turn right
on to Hwy. 48 (West) going toward Lineville. The Church will be on your
right.
