James Vansandt was born on 11 Jan 1805 in Franklin, Green Co., TN. He married Nancy White about 1834 in Franklin Co., TN. Nancy was born on 5 Oct 1812 in TN. James served in the Alabama State Legislature from 1866 to 1870. He also served as the minister for Flint Hill Methodist Church. James died 18 Feb 1877 in Coosa Co., AL. Nancy died 12 Feb 1880 Coosa Co., AL. They are both buried in Flint Hill Methodist Church Cemetery, Coosa Co., AL. The inscription for both is on the same headstone.
