i.EVA EVALINE2 ALCORN, b. April 03, 1875, St. Joseph, Missouri; d. May 09, 1966, Uvalde Hospital, Unvalde County, Texas; m. JAMES FULTON THOMPSON, February 02, 1895, Tarrant County, Texas.
Notes for EVA EVALINE ALCORN:
Eva Eveline Alcorn (Irish and Dutch Descent) was born on April 4, 1875 in St. Joseph, Missouri. When she was three years old Eva, her sisters, Fanny and Molly, and their mother moved to San Francisco, California, where Mrs. Alcorn ran a boarding house.
At some later time they moved to Texas, in or arround the Milford/Italy (towns) area where Eva Eveline worked as a maid in a well-to-do household. She was not always treated kindly. Apparently it was in Texas that her mother again married. This time to a man whose last name was Cordon or Cordan. Eva's sister, Molly, married a man whose last name was Snodgrass, and they moved to Stevensville, Texas.
After marriage to J.F. Thompson on February 2, 1895, Eva Eveline devoted herself to husband and home. She had dark brown hair (red when she was younger), very fair skin, blue eyes...a beautiful woman, nearly the same height as her husband. Eva Eveline died on may 9, 1966 and her body is buried in the La Pryor Cemetery at La Pryor, Texas in Zavala County.
