Your Alcorns are much earlier than mine. I am trying to connect my James Alcorn b. abt 1768, supposedly in Ulster, who d. 5/10/1835 in Cherrytree Twp. Venango Co. PA. He settled in Crawford Co PA in 1801. I can't find any parent or place in Ireland that "fits." There are several Roberts, James, Johns and Williams that descend from him so I look for those names that could have been a parent. Your Josiah would fit my Jame's birth date but that name doesn't appear anywhere in my family. Thanks for your response.
