(Agreement of George Buck of Bideford to transport felons to
America,1735)

Know all men by these Presents that George Buck of Bideford in the
County of Devon Esq. am held and firmly bound to William Ring, Clerk of
the Peach for the County of Somerset in Three Hundred and Ninety pounds
of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to the said William Ring and
his successors. To which payment well and truly to be made I bind my
self my Heires Executors and Administrators firmly by these presents
sealed with my seal dated the Twenty Ninth day of Jany in the ninth year
of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God
of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so
forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty
five

Whereas at the Assizes and General Gaol Delivery held at the City of
Wells in and for the County of Somerset on Tuesday, the twelfth day of
August in the ninth year of the Reign of our Lord George the Second King
of Great Britain and JAMES HEARST, WILLIAM GRAY, JOHN FRANCIS, ROBERT
COOK and SARAH PEARCE were convicted of diverse felonies and
entituled to the benefit of Clergy and ordered and adjudged to be
transported to some of his Majesty's Colonies and Plantations in America
for a Term of Seven years. And Whereas at the general Quarter Sessions
of the Peace held at the Castle at Taunton in and for the said County on
Tuesday the seventh day of October in the said ninth year of the Reign
of our Sovereign Lord the King George the second RICHARD ELLIOT,
ELIZABETH ANDLEY, WILLIAM PUGGESLY, RICHARD TUCKER, EDWARD BARNSTABLE,
PHILIP RUTTER and AMY his wife were severally convicted of Felonies and
entituled to the benefit of Clergy and ordered and adjudged by the said
Court to be transported to some of his Majesty's Colonies and
Plantations in America for the Term of seven years according to an Act
of Parliament made the fourth year of the Reign of his late Majesty King
George entituled an Act for the Further preventing ROBBERY, BURGLARY and
other Felonies and for the more effectul Transportation of Felons and
unlawful Exporters of wool and for declaring the Law upon some points
relating to Pirates. And Whereas the said Courts in Pursuance of
another Act of Parliament made in the Sixth Year of the Reign of his
said late Majesty entituled an Act for the Further preventing Robbery,
Burglary and other Felonies and for the more effectul Transportation of
Felons did nominate and appoint SIR JOHN TREVELIAN Baronet, WILLIAM
EARLE Esquire, Seargant at Law, THOMAS CAREW Esquire, GEORGE SPEKE
Esquire, JOSEPH HOLTON Esq., EDWARD DIKE Esq., and ADAM MARTIN Esq.,
seven of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace of and for the said County
of Somerset or any two of them to contract with any person or persons
for the Further Performance of the Transportation of the said Offenders
and to order and take care that such Contractor or Contractors do give
sufficient Security to be taken by Bond in the Name of the Clerk of the
Peace of the said County that he or they will transport or cause to be
transported effectually the said Offenders conveyed to him or them by
such Contract to some of his Majesty's Colonies and Plantations in
America according to the direction of the said recited Acts. And
Whereas the said GEORGE SPEKE ADAIR and ADAM MARTIN have contracted with
GEORGE BUCK of Bideford in the County of Devon, Esq. for the effectual
Transportation of the said Felons to Maryland or to some other of his
Majesty's Colonies and Plantations in America for the Terms aforesaid.

Now the Condistion of this obligation is such that if the above bounded
GEORGE BUCK or his assigns do and shall within six months from the day
of the date hereof transport or cause to be transported effectually the
said JAMES ROBERTS, JOHN HEARST, WILLIAM GRAY, JOHN FRANCIS, ROBERT
COOK, SARAH PEARCE, RICHARD ELLIOTT, ELIZABETH ANDLEY, WILLIAM PUGGESLY,
RICHARD TUCKER, EDWARD BARNSTABLE, PHILIP RUTTER and AMY his wife to
Maryland or some other of his Majest's Colonies and Plantations in
America.
And do and shall procure an Authentick Certificate from the Governor or
chief custom house officer of the Port or place where such offenders
shall be landed in Maryland or some other of his Majesty's Colonies, and
Plantations in America of their respective landing there (death and the
casualties of the offenders or any or either of them to return from the
Place where he or they are so landed as aforesaid to any part of Great
Britain or Ireland for and during the said recited terms of seven
years. Or if the said GEORGE BUCK his heirs executors or administrators
do and shall pay or cause to be paid unto the above named WILLIAM KING
or his sucessors the sume of thirty pounds of lawful British money for
each and every of them the said JAMES ROBERTS, JOHN HEARST, WILLIAM
GRAY, JOHN FRANCIS, ROBERT COOK, SARAH PEARCH, RICHARD ELLIOTT,
ELIZABETH ANDLEY, WILLIAM PUGGESLY, RICHARD TUCKER, EDWARD
BARNSTABLE, PHILIP RUTTER and AMY his wife whom he the said GEORGE
BUCK or his assigns shall not transport or cause to be transported to
Maryland or some other of his Majesty's Colonies and Plantations in
America within six months next ensuing or whom he shall wilfully suffer
to return to any port or place of Great Britain or Ireland during the
said terms for which they were ordered to be transported as aforesaid
then this Obligation to be void or else to be in full Force.

This is the complete agreement. Any typos are mine.
There are others transported to Australia, 1787 - 1868 (couldn't send
more to America after 1775!). Some of these have when and where
convicted. If interested, will do them later. Some of these may have
made their way to America or some of their descendants.
