Homer,
Several times I have seen you refer to the National Archives for Confederate
records. I've tried there one time and was told to go to the State Archives
and I have never requested a record from them on a CSA member since that
time. E. A. Carter is not listed as a member of the 15th in the book by
Oates, I've been through every company looking for him. How does one know if
the National Archives has records on a CSA serviceman? Do I need to check
with them on every relative I am looking for? Thanks for your help.
