Maggie..Thank you so much. I was told awhile back that this probably was
available at the Pike County Historical Society, but had forgotten...and I
couldn't get to Alabama to look for myself anyway. I live in SC, near
Columbus County NC, where these folks came from...and have been there
researching. This data is mainly for a Wolfe lady that Mary Mary Idella
Chancy was her ggreat gmother. She will be very pleased to complete this
part of her ancestry.

BTW...last year, I found a letter written in 1857, Barbour County from a
James Chancy to his uncle Samuel in Columbus County NC. This letter is
posted at the Barbour County web site, but if anyone would like a copy, I
can do that for them..
