Dear Jay and everyone,

This is a large list and when I started it many years ago the rules were set
up for no advertising, no selling, no spam, no page updates or announcements
and no cross postings.

These rules are on all lists I manage. Dale did not have a mail list and
since I donated money each year to Rootsweb I was allowed a limited number
of lists I used one of my lists for the Dale researchers.

I as a list manager have to try and make it fair to all. Yes you can hit
delete if you receive the message but what about the people that get bounced
off the mail list because their boxes fill up.

Anyone that wants to see the announcements for other sites have the option
to join those mail lists and receive or not receive them. Nobody will be
denied those announcements they can subscribe, on the other hand listers
like me that get the same announcements on every list we are on do not have
that choice.

I am the County Coordinator for Barbour,Geneva and have a Dale county site
and I do not announce here for any of those sites.


Christine is always welcome here and I am sorry she feels that she cannot be
part of this list without making announcements of updates to other sites.

I really appreciated all the work that Christine Thanker did for this Dale
Co. group and am really missing her posts and notification of updated sites
etc. Hope she will reconsider and join us again. I truly don't object to

seeing the genealogical posts on several lists. I just hit delete if I have

already read it. She certainly wasn't doing "Spam". I know I am not the
only one who misses her contribution.
