Dear Dorothy,

I thought I would respond to the list to get it moving a little, it has been
pretty slow lately. This way maybe we can get a conversation going about
Dallas County, AL. It is really helpful to include a general timeframe when
requesting information about a family name. Don't know about others on the
list, but I try to respond if I can by checking my puny resources.

Do you know what time your Durden-McVay's lived in Dallas Co.? or where they
came from? do you have other names that they may have been associated with
(as many families traveled together and they can be found in several
locations together)? what age would they have been at the time?

Also, I am usually willing to do a limited number of census lookups as I live
close to the Federal Archives.

If it is ok with the listowner, how about everyone posting their Dallas Co
roots? Occasionally other lists have a rollcall when the list gets slow,
that way others may find someone they connect with and we can get this list
really smokin'. Just some ideas...what does the rest of the list think?
